Destruction caused by the “bagyo” can be seen everywhere. The roofless church, the half-destroyed church tower. The municipal government house and the schools to the right of the church are entirely ruined. The nipa house on the right was constructed after the typhoon. The storm surge threw a small boat more than 100 meters from the shore, and the fury of the winds lifted and placed around it two carriages which appear in the photo beside the two seated marines.
